12 Angry Men/Women Auditions will take place on November 20th (Spots are 5 minutes long and begin starting at 4 pm).

The deadline to register for stage crew is by 5 pm on November 20th.

Callbacks (if needed) will be November 21st at 6 pm. (List will be posted no later than November 21st by 7 am.)

Full Company list will be posted on November 24th by 10 pm.



Audition Information

For those auditioning, see below for your audition excerpt. Your audition must be memorized.  We expect as much character as you can provide in your audition.  Do not just recite the excerpt.  


Company Information


The company size for this show is unknown at this time. The decision will be difficult and we hope that everyone respects our choices. It will be expected that no one creates any drama or troubles based on the casting and crew assignments. We are looking for a certain mix of cast chemistry and this might result in a atypical cast list.  Our goal is two complete cast (12 men, 12 women).

Rehearsals will be Monday through Friday. Rehearsals will typically (and is subject to change) be Monday through Friday from 4-7 pm.  There will be occasional weekend rehearsals, rehearsals on non-school days and set build days.  

The rehearsal schedule will be released a few weeks in advance to allow for planning. Scheduled rehearsals are mandatory and all rehearsals after the Christmas break (Jan. 2) are REQUIRED for all cast and crew. If you cannot be at ALL rehearsals these last three weeks (beginning January 2, 2018), we suggest you do not audition/sign up for this show. Rehearsals begin and end as scheduled. Tech Week rehearsals will run late, so please plan ahead. We will do our best to work around conflicts provided during the audition process but ask that they are kept to a minimum. We do consider all conflicts when making casting decisions. There will be NO SCHEDULED REHEARSALS over Christmas Break. Please use this time to schedule appointments, college visits or just catch up on your homework.

We do take conflicts into consideration when casting, so please keep them to a minimum.  


All cast members will be required to put in 16 hours of crew time to earn their lettering points for this show. Crew is required to attend all set builds. Actual build dates will be released with the cast/crew list. Strike is also required for ALL cast and crew (please don't plan any family events for the last performance day)


We will be asking for help with show prep and the show's run; i.e. set construction (it's BIG!), costumes, concessions, ticket sellers, etc. More information will be released at the parent meeting.


Cell phone usage will not be tolerated during rehearsals or performances. If a student is caught using their cell (including texting) during a rehearsal or performance, the phone will be confiscated and returned to them at the end of rehearsal. The only exception is in an emergency and needing to contact a parent.


The main goal of Tartan Theatre is to produce quality theatre and give everyone a chance to perform and have FUN!!!!!
